Rusty Candu is a minor character in "Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island!". He is can of fruit who lives on Fruit Salad Island with a slick voice and can perform his rendition The Can-can.
He is voiced by David Kaye, who also voiced Bunga Berry.
Appearance[]
Rusty Candu appears to be a fruit of unknown species in a can with a pair of eyes and eyebrows. He wears a snorkel tube and some flippers.
Personality[]
With the little screentime given to him, it is shown that Rusty has a car salesman type voice, and he doesn't like whenever he hears that someone needs a can.

Rusty Candu performing his rendition of The Can-can.
During Fruit Salad Island's Annual Talent Show, Rusty Candu was the first participant to perform, showing of his rendition of The Can-can while singing. After performing, Rusty exclaims to the crowd "I'll be back!" before being taken away by a hook. ("Hocus Pocus Lack of Focus")
Coconut Fred decides to create an Amuse-Otel, a combination of an Amusement Park and a Hotel. After Mr. Greenrind becomes the VIP guest of the Amuse-Otel, Coconut Fred gives him a tour showing all the attractions, important areas, and his "cracked staff". One of the staff members is Rusty Candu, being in charge of the freebies. After introducing himself to Mr. Greenrind, Rusty then gives him a bucket filled with free Coconut Fred bathtub toys, nail clippers and a complimentary drink.
Once Fred and Mr. Greenrind go to the second floor containing The Nutmare, Rusty is shown nararating the rules and regulations before entering the ride. He also tells the riders to enjoy the provided free pudding.
Due to Fred misunderstanding Mr. Greenrind's wants to leave the Amuse-Otel for going to the bathroom, Fred asks Mr. Greenrind if he should get him a can, as Bingo doesn't know where the bathrooms are located due to the confusing map. Rusty appears one last time getting alerted thinking Fred was going to get him for Mr. Greenrind's can, leading him to jump out the window. ("Amuse-Otel")
When the rules get washed up by the Fred's pool splash, Rusty appears in the chaotic crowd doing The Can-can once again. ("Fred Rules!")
Rusty Candu can be seen alongside a crowd of familiar faces wearing power rings to save Fruit Salad Island and defeat the Biggest Fruit Pie in the Universe. ("Captain Nut & the Power Fruits")
Abilities and Powers[]
Smooth voice: Having a smooth voice is one of Rusty Candu's defining traits. Due to this voice he is perfect for reading things such as rules and regulations, as seen in "Amuse-Otel".
Trivia[]
- He is a reference to the Can-can, a high-energy dance that became a popular music-hall dance in the 1840s.
- It is unknown what type of fruit Rusty is, as no label in his can suggests his species besides the word Fruit.
