Mr. "Mel" Greenrind is one of the 6 main characters of "Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island!". He is a watermelon and the enforcer of Fruit Salad Island, who with the help of his assistant, Bingo Cherry, sets up the rules and the events in the island. Additionally, he tends to get himself involved in Coconut Fred's adventures whether intentional or not. He is also the uncle to Melonie Greenrind.
He was voiced by Michael Donovan.
Appearance[]
He is an anthropomorphic watermelon with a thick, black unibrow, white, puffy eyes and magenta pupils. He wears a blue captain hat, blue pants and white shoes.
His prototype design lacks his unibrow, making it no longer conjoined, and his watermelon texture is different. He is no longer wearing blue pants and white sneakers, and is now drawn in a more rounded design.
Personality[]
He is a grumpy watermelon which gets easily annoyed by Coconut Fred. He stands in as an authority figure on the island, even if nothing happens if the other islanders don't follow his rules. He tends to blame Fred for things going wrong, even if it wasn't his fault.
Official character biography[]
Mr. Greenrind, the activities director of Fruit Salad Island, is a control freak who makes up the rules—lots and lots of rules—so many, that he has squeaky board where he constantly writes down new rules. Coconut Fred is a walking-talking rule-breaker, causing Mr. G many problems. Kind of a father figure to Fred, he does his very, very best to tolerate the little coconut...until he finally snaps.

Although, he gets annoyed by Fred. He can't seem to hate him a lot. They are sometimes on good terms when Fred doesn't end up getting on his nerves.
